Welcome to the Buck Dopps Here! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find a few things that interest or inspire you. Like me, this is a work in progress. I've always wanted to be a full-time writer and my dream has come true. My hope is that this will encourage other writers to keep on writing and dreaming. If you're not a writer, I encourage you to share your ideas, passions, and talents with others. Let your heart guide you to the adventures that await. If you know in your heart you should be doing something, just do it now. Why wait? The world needs the unique gifts only you can bring to it. While following your dreams, make sure you enjoy the ride!
Kindest regards,
Buck Dopp

This is the introduction to my first novel, Kingpin and Eli. It will be available later this month on Amazon.com:
Introduction
I've seen a lot during nearly three decades as a business leader. I’ve had the privilege of working with many fine people over the years. When we go to work we frequently face moral issues as we strive to achieve our goals, company objectives and help the coworkers on our team succeed. Kingpin and Eli is a story that aims to explore the choices real people make when facing ethical conflicts. Sometimes we get it right and sometimes we don’t.
I’ve always wanted to write a novel that would be fast-paced, entertaining, and humorous, while giving the reader some food for thought. I hope I have achieved that goal. You, my readers, will be the judge. More than anything else, I hope you have as much fun reading Kingpin and Eli as I did writing it.

Thomas Whitherspoon, nicknamed “Kingpin,” is the senior news anchor at an Arizona television station. He’s a narcissist and his arrogance knows no bounds. When told that his co-anchor is out for his job, he conspires to get him fired, eliminating the potential threat. He soon discovers greater threats to his career lurk on the horizon that he is helpless to prevent. Whitherspoon’s career means everything to him until a near-death experience causes him to re-evaluate his life. He wants to make amends, but it may be too late. When he’s faced with losing everything he has worked for all his life, his new found ethics are tested beyond anything he imagined possible.

"The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
